I’ve fallen in love with Frank Turner

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a new album quite so quickly or as whole-heartedly as this.

A Wave Across A Bay

Written in honour of the late Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, this is a stunning example of Frank Turners emotional and heartfelt songwriting prowess.

I’m an ashamed latecomer to Frank Turners solo music but have unashamedly fallen head over heels in love with his latest offering “FTHC” beautiful and honest songwriting from start to finish. It was nice to hear some of the Million Dead venom creeping back into this album; Non-Serviam serves as a great opener to whats in store, raw honest and beautiful. As with the cover art there is nothing fancy or frilly about these songs, just warm and impactful storytelling through music. I’m still working my way through Frank’s back catalogue (oo-er) but have been nothing but impressed and in awe of his musicianship with every listen. My favourites from this album have to be; haven’t been doing so well, Miranda, A wave across a bay and Punches, but as with all great albums you need to sit and absorb it all from start to finish and I promise you wont be disappointed.
